Privacy & terms
The Who & What Positioning Check is a free tool by Irene Neyman (art·apart), based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This page explains what happens to what you type, and the few rules for using the tool. Questions or requests: ireneneyman.illustrator@gmail.com
What I collect
- Your answers – full name, role, past clients, the projects you want more of, what clients thank you for, years freelancing, and your positioning sentence.
- Your result – the scores and feedback generated for you.
- Basic usage events – for example, that someone started the check or clicked a button. These don't include your answers.
- A scrambled version of your IP address – a one-way code used only to limit checks to 3 a day. Your actual IP address isn't stored.
- Your browser keeps your progress and today's check count on your own device. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
The tool doesn't ask for your email. If you choose to get the free breakdown, you sign up on the art·apart website, where the art·apart privacy policy applies.
Why
- To score your sentence and write your feedback.
- To prevent misuse (the daily limit).
- To improve the tool and my teaching – for example, noticing that most sentences leave out the result for the client.
I never sell your data or use it for advertising.
Sharing examples
I may share a sentence as an example in a post or letter only with your permission, and always without your name.
Who helps run the tool
- Anthropic (Claude API) reads your answers and sentence to write your feedback. Anthropic doesn't use data sent through its API to train its models.
- Vercel hosts the tool.
- Google (Google Sheets) stores the answers and results.
These services may store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States, where local laws apply.
How long I keep it
Answers and results are kept for 12 months, then deleted. You can ask me to delete yours sooner at any time.
